Even though birds have feathers and (usually) fly, they’re actually just a special group of reptiles. In fact, birds are more closely related to crocodiles than crocodiles are to lizards!
So next time you watch that (108th) rerun of Jurassic Park, you’re seeing the forebears of that sweet little canary or budgerigar you’ve always wanted on your shoulder 🙂
