Humankind has faced many challenges over the millennia. We have overcome them all.
COVID-19 is certainly ‘up there’, but there are many brilliant minds working in every corner of the world, to help us overcome this new challenge.
As hard as it may be to accept right now, there are positives that will come from this threat. Not least of them is the amazing level of trans-national collaboration between medical researchers.
Another is that we are being forced to recognize that we cannot push Mother Nature any further. We need to understand that when humankind ignores natural balance, we will always ‘pay the price’.
We will defeat this virus. It will be a battle fought at enormous cost – both in terms of lives and the global economy.
But – just maybe – we will be a better, kinder, more co-operative species as a result.
